A friend recently introduced me to grilled peaches and I fell in love! They are in abundance right now in the peak of Summer and complimented this light salad beautifully. So easy to make and really delicious as a side or the main meal!
Preheat a BBQ grill plate until very hot.
Place the peaches flesh side down for a few minutes. Turn and allow the skin side to cook for a few minutes more. The peaches should be still firm. Slice each half into 3 segments.
Mix the lemon juice and maple syrup and pour this over the mixed lettuce and basil leaves.
Arrange segments of the peaches over salad and garnish with chopped walnuts and small basil leaves.
