About the event
Our current food system places an incredible strain on the environment and the animals we share this planet with. Eating whole plant foods significantly reduces our impact on the environment and is one of the biggest changes we can make to reduce our carbon footprint.
As a part of this year's Nature Festival, this hands-on cooking class will demonstrate how shifting to a plant-based diet can be easy, nourishing and invigorating. While we cook, we will discuss the benefits of eating more whole plant foods and how this can have immense benefits for the environment.
The dishes created during the class will be shared at an intimate, long table feast, to allow converstation and connection between like-minded people.
On the menu:
- Creamy jackfruit curry
- Onion bhaji
- Sweet potato naan
- Spiced Indian salad
- Brown rice biryani
- Phirni - spiced rice pudding
